A Revolution for the Real Estate Market: Teleportation Now Available to Visit Properties for Sale

Brossard, Canada, 2019-09-11 –

Concept Zenit, a company revolutionizing the way that real estate property is bought and sold, is proud to celebrate the grand opening of its HausValet flagship store in Champlain Mall, located on the South Shore of Montreal in Brossard, Quebec.

The pre-opening night hosted members of the media, as well as dignitaries representing the Quebec Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation, the Business Development Bank of Canada, Anges Québec, Economic Development of the agglomération de Longueuil, RE/MAX Québec, Centris and Cominar.

The celebratory evening has unveiled the experiential shopping concept of HausValet, introducing virtual reality experiences to all facets of the residential real estate shopping process. Emphasizing the company’s vision of teleportation, the event has also included the presence of the original teleportation machine…the DeLorean automobile featured in the film Back to the Future.

A game changer for the real estate market

“People conduct their banking online, as well as an increasing amount of their consumer purchases,” notes Hakim Azrour, CEO and founder of Concept Zenit. “Shopping for a home is one of the few things that people still feel the need to do in person, but moving from one property to another and making comparisons can be very time consuming.”

Enter HausValet, a virtual reality experience that teleports homebuyers to conceivably thousands of homes on the market without ever leaving the comfort of their own living rooms. Courtesy of a customized VR headset and handheld laser pointer, HausValet enables discovery of the depth, scale and orientation of every room visited, leading homebuyers from one home to another. The product’s simple point-and-click functionality and user-friendly interface provides access to a series of menus that allow users to hotlist properties, initiate comparisons, link to brokers and much more.

For realtors, HausValet is a valuable new marketing tool offering significant time savings, while sellers can present their homes to hundreds of interested buyers without needing to stow away their everyday lives for each new visit. No house cleaning, no intrusions. The solution addresses the needs of all stakeholders in the residential real estate process, and Concept Zenit, has already incroporated more than 600 RE/MAX properties and has welcomed more than 130 brokers aboard their platform prior to its official launch, as a Phase 1 operation focused on Montreal’s South Shore.

“The official opening of the new store is a pivotal moment for Concept Zenit. Involved from the birth of the company, we quickly identified its real and very promising business potential. Thanks to Hakim’s confidence in DEL, we have been able to offer him the help he had been looking for,” says Julie Ethier, Executive Director of DEL.

Harnessing emerging technologies

Five years in development, HausValet is the product of fine-tuning of powerful VR technology that has achieved very little market penetration outside of the gaming industry, reaching for the first time the mass consumers. Concept Zenit took the technology and blended it with the functionality of mobile phones, combining data with sensory experiences to enable time-saving interactions between homebuyers and brokers. The conception-to-launch process included exhaustive testing and validation, while the company simultaneously studied all facets of the real estate industry in order to focus on key elements of the buying and selling process.

The advanced technology of HausValet begins with the legacy process of photographing a property, which is a service that brokers already engage in. The photos are formatted into a 360 virtual tour before the HausValet pipeline automation infuses 3D and virtualization technologies into the system, as well as data on the property provided by Centris. The finished product is then uploaded to the company’s cloud platform, where it becomes part of an extensive distribution channel in as little as 24 hours.

“From the beginning, we set out to create an out-of-home experience that would deliver the highest quality content, while remaining price-conscious in order to ensure widespread adoption,” explains Azrour. “HausValet harnesses the best of existing technologies and online platforms, including matchmaking technology that makes this the most efficient pairing tool on the market.”

Experiential shopping

For just $20 per week, consumers will now be able to rent a HausValet headset at the flagship store and immerse themselves in its virtual world of teleportation from the comfort of their homes. However, before completing that process, the store itself offers consumers a truly sensorial experience. Upon entering the store’s open lobby, 15×10 walls, divided into cubes, evolve into realistic experiences that bring light, sound and animated hosts to life.

From the reception area, consumers enter a corridor of infinite mirrors, leading to individual sensory booths where they are treated to a full gamut of VR and 4D technologies. From the breezes, warmth and ocean sounds of paradisiacal Bora Bora, to the majesty of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, HausValet unveils its teleportation technology as part of a unique experiential shopping adventure. Back in the lobby area, a circular counter invites consumers to open its hatches through activation of embedded hand sensors, unveiling a levitating HausValet headset as part of a theatrical ending to the rental process.

“It’s like taking time out from a typical shopping experience to spend some time in a theme park,” says Azrour. “We have worked hard to infuse imagination and a little bit of magic into the ultimate shopping experience.”
